Totally Bamboo Nevada Cutting Board Review: Our Shop?

When we first unboxed the Totally Bamboo Destination Nevada State Shaped Cutting Board, it felt less like a kitchen tool and more like a small piece of travel décor. The Nevada silhouette is instantly recognizable, and the engraved map artwork adds a subtle “road-trip” texture that looks right at home under a spread of cheeses, fruit, and crackers. We also appreciate that the reverse side is smooth and practical-handy for everyday slicing when we don’t want to baby the display surface. The included hang tie is a nice touch, letting us turn it into wall art between gatherings. In our shop, it lands in that sweet spot: functional enough to use, distinctive enough to gift.

I’m picky about anything that shares space with my outdoor builds-if it sits on a bench I’ve milled and finished by hand, it has to earn its keep. The VAKADO Waterproof Blue Stripe Outdoor Throw Pillow Covers (18x18, set of two) did exactly that. The chenille stripe feels more substantial than the usual slick “outdoor” fabric, and the blue pattern adds a clean, coastal look without shouting for attention. After a few sunny afternoons on the porch and one surprise sprinkle, the covers dried quickly and still looked crisp-no obvious fading so far. If you want an easy refresh for a patio couch or garden bench that respects good craftsmanship, these are a solid upgrade.

We put the Ingersoll Rand 114GCQ EDGE Series Air Hammer Kit on our bench to see if it’s truly “shop fit” or just another loud promise. With a 2 5/8" stroke and a claimed 3,500 BPM max, it brings that sharp, staccato punch we want for stubborn exhaust clamps, rusty brackets, and quick separation jobs. The kit’s three chisel attachments give us enough variety to move from general maintenance to more targeted persuasion without digging through drawers. In hand, it feels purpose-built-compact, eager, and ready to live near the lift. The real question, of course, is control: how cleanly it tracks a line, how it behaves under load, and whether it keeps our work precise instead of chaotic.

We didn’t realize how much a full-size cue was working against our younger players until we tried the Kids Short Pool Cue Set of 2. With length options from 36 to 52 inches, we could actually match the cue to our kids’ height instead of forcing awkward bridges and wild swings. We tested both the 1-piece and 2-piece styles; the 2-piece felt easier to stash away, while the 1-piece stayed pleasantly solid in the stroke. The Canadian maple wood gives a reassuring, “real cue” feel, and the UV-printed designs kept our kids excited between turns. Most importantly, the 13mm leather tip delivered consistent contact, making practice feel less like luck and more like progress.
