Rowood Cherry Plywood Review: Right for Our Laser?
When we unboxed the Rowood Cherry Plywood sheets, the first thing we noticed was how “ready-to-create” they felt: clean, thin, and pleasantly uniform at 12x12 inches. At 1/8 inch (3mm), the panels slid into our laser workflow without fuss, giving us enough heft for ornaments and model parts while still cutting quickly. The unfinished surface also left room for our own stain tests and paint experiments, which is exactly what we want from engraving blanks. We ran a few sample passes-fine text, simple line art, and a detailed architectural window frame-and the cherry face delivered a warm, polished look even before sealing. That said, we kept an eye on edge charring and minor warping, as any thin plywood can surprise you.
