We opened the Mroy mio 135 PCS Laser Engraving Material Kit expecting a sampler-and that’s exactly what it feels like: a compact “mini shop” of blanks to test, tweak, and prototype. With 27 material types spanning wood, acrylic, fabric, rock, PU leather, and diatom mud, we found ourselves jumping from clean, crisp text on acrylic to warmer, textured burns on wood, then experimenting with softer finishes on leather. The variety encourages quick iteration, especially when we’re dialing in power and speed settings for different looks. Not everything behaves the same under the beam, and that’s the point-this kit makes the learning curve more hands-on. If our workshop needs a fast way to explore new engraving styles, this set earns a spot on the bench.
