When we unboxed the 8 Inch 84 Pieces Wooden Unfinished Letters set, our first thought was simple: this could be a workhorse for our shop. The letters arrive thin, cleanly cut, and ready for whatever finish we throw at them-paint washes, bold acrylics, vinyl overlays, even a light stain when we want that farmhouse look. Because they’re unfinished, we’re not fighting a glossy coating or weird texture, which saves time on prep. At 8 inches tall, they read well on walls and craft fair displays, but they’re still light enough for easy hanging. The big question for us is consistency across the alphabet and durability during sanding-exactly what we tested next.
