When we first unboxed the RATTMMOTOR CNC Wood Router Machine Kit, it felt like inviting a tiny factory onto our workbench. This 3‑axis DIY mini CNC, driven by GRBL control and paired with an offline controller, promises a smoother path from sketch to shavings—without keeping a laptop tethered to the shop. We tested it with the included 775 spindle motor and ER11 collet on familiar materials: wood, acrylic, and a bit of PVC, paying close attention to setup time, calibration fussiness, and how confidently it traced tight corners. It’s clearly aimed at hobbyists and home shops, but the real question for us was simple: does it cut cleanly enough to earn a permanent spot in our workflow?
