AUSTOR Drum Sander Set Review: Right for Our Shop?

We’ve gone through enough sanding sleeves to know a “big kit” isn’t automatically a good kit—so we put the AUSTOR Aluminum Oxide Sanding Drum Set to work in our shop. With 120 drum sander sleeves and 12 mandrels, it promises less downtime and more flexibility for our Dremel rotary tool, especially when we’re shaping small parts, smoothing edges, or cleaning up tight curves. The aluminum oxide grit feels like a sensible all‑rounder: not too precious for rough prep, but capable of leaving a surprisingly tidy finish when we step down in grit. We also appreciate the included storage box, which keeps the chaos contained. Still, we wanted to see how the sleeves hold up under real pressure.
