The lift-top trunk design promises a hidden home for seasonal supplies, spare bags, or packaging materials, while the two safety hinges help the lid open smoothly and stay put, which could be a quiet but meaningful detail during busy days. If it holds up to daily use, this could be both seating and storage without stealing the spotlight.
HOOBRO Storage Bench Review: Right for Our Home Shop?
We didn’t expect a “toy chest” to earn a spot in our home shop, but the HOOBRO Storage Chest (39.3") made a strong case. The clean white finish looks more like a built-in bench than a bulky bin, and the wooden top feels reassuringly solid—rated to support up to 220 lb, it’s been comfortable for pulling on boots or sorting packages. We’ve also appreciated the safety hinge, which keeps the lid from slamming during hurried cleanups. The U-shaped opening and the drawer give us two quick-grab zones: one for frequently used gear, one for odds and ends we don’t want floating around. Assembly was straightforward, with no surprise headaches.
