In our shop, the Milwaukee 2456-20 M12 1/4 Ratchet (tool only) landed with the kind of quiet promise we’ve learned to respect: small footprint, big potential, and no patience for tight spaces. We put it where hand ratchets usually stall—dash brackets, crowded engine bays, and those fasteners that seem designed to test our knuckles. The head profile feels compact enough to slip into awkward angles, while the trigger control lets us “feather” the speed instead of blasting threads. Being tool-only, it assumes we’re already in the M12 ecosystem, which may be a plus or a pause. Still, as a daily helper, it makes a practical case for itself.
